Welcome to the Adelaide SQLPASS chapter. You can find us on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at the Edge Building on Hindley St. There's a link below to get on the mailing list. Leveraging the Cloud with Sync Framework for SQL Azure SQL Azure Data Sync provides SQL Server 2012 Database functionality as a utility service, hosted in the cloud. This can provide many benefits, including rapid provisioning, cost-effective scalability, high availability, and reduced management overhead. However, some real power can come from combining your existing on-premise SQL Server solutions with cloud-based systems, using Data Sync for SQL Azure to transfer data between cloud and premise systems seamlessly. In this talk, Andrew will demonstrate how you can synchronize existing on-premise databases with other cloud or premises databases leveraging a host of empowering benefits that make adopting the cloud the best decision you've made all year. Speaker: Andrew Ball Andrew Ball is an Adelaide-based SQL Server consultant, and has been involved in a number of enterprise-level projects across a variety of SQL Server platforms including SQL Server 2012, with expertise in Master Data Services, SSIS and Tabular Analysis Services. His particular interest has been on providing lightweight Single Page Applications as Software as a Service (SAAS) implementations for the IPad, Galaxy and Surface. He is also a director of Netvision Pty Ltd, Cloud Pro Pty Ltd and Phytovision Pty Ltd, companies providing global e-commerce distribution of beauty and haircare brands Ecokid, Phytostem, Abache and Colourpro across Europe, North America and Australasia.
